It may only be a small space, but this traditional terrace house lounge room embodies comfort and style. Limited by the tight confines of the room, we focused on balancing colours and textures to create interest, and weaving modern and vintage concepts together to expand upon the “old-meets-new” theme of the entire property.

This lounge represents a microcosm of all that we aimed to achieve for the home, blending history and practicality in a way the suits family life, without skimping on style. Each item in the room has been carefully selected for ultimate usability, with essential elements such as furniture forming part of the artistic expression within the space.

The plush sofa softens the strong presence of the cool stone coffee table, while a custom entertainment unit cements the role of the lounge as the heart of family life. Bold choices for smaller pieces inject more personality into the space, but don’t detract from the ultimate functionality required in an area of the home which receives ample foot traffic and needs to withstand a multitude of activities.
